vRS TFSI to Scout TSI

Featured Replies

We traded in our vRS for a Scout yesterday.

We had the vRS for 4 years and it will be missed, but impressed with the Scout so far.

The vRS was fully loaded (xenons, maxidot, dual climate, jumbo box, 18" wheels, and rear park) so really wanted a Scout with xenons.

Our localish dealer has this one for sale the with the usual Scout spec plus xenons, maxidot, multifunction steering wheel, spare wheel and a towbar fitted.

I think the 1st owner maybe on here as the Scout already has the digital MPH enabled on the maxidot and it also has the fogs lights instead of the xenons for the coming/leaving home.

The 1.8 TSI goes ok and likes to rev fairly well. The handling isn't quite as tight as the vRS but it's still pretty good.

Snap (well almost, mine are both diesel), check out my signature...

Great choice (in both respects!) by the way.

Congrats... Wait till the engine wears in a bit it will be a sweet as a nut, mines getting better and better!

I`m after the very same car but sadly they are a bit out of my price bracket at the moment.

A remap could see 200 BHP plus.... with the 4WD would be very interesting!

Nice colour and I think the Scouts are the only models that suit the Facelift

May I ask why you changed from the vRS?

Skodanorman,

We owned the vRS for 4 years so fancied a change. Also we normally have the kids in the car so it never got driven as the vRS badge was intended. The harder suspension and 18" wheels didn't go well with the rubbish roads round our way either, I spent more time looking out for pot holes rather than where I was driving. Don't get me wrong the vRS is cracking car, perhaps I'm just getting old.
