Just got Fab Vrs with these:

Featured Replies

Just picked my new car up a few days ago, it's mk1 vrs, BM in colour. It has 17" graphite grey spiders, KW Variant 1 suspension, and I think it may be a Cupra splitter. I'm amazed at how quick it is even coming from a Type R! Love it!

Surprising little things aren't they :)

based on other mods and that its comparable to a Type R, its probably mapped!

It'll just be feeling quick, due to the torque kick. Type-R will still be quicker in a straight line, and especially around corners ;)

i went from a mapped vrs to a civic type r , dont let the torque pull fool you :p but i miss the stealthyness of the fabia!

How do you find the handling with the KW V1 coilovers?

Do you have a pic of your car?

Yes, the Fabia will give you the low down push, but the CTR has probably the finest 4 cylinder engine ever made in the K20a.

Except the thing needs its balls revv'd off to make it go :)

For sure and then mpg suffers of course.

I've not had a CTR, but had the engine from one in my Elise with a Jackson Racing supercharger. 0-60 in 3.7s and then no problem with needing to rev it!

I owned a DC5 with the iVTEC. Incredible to think not a single one of those handbuilt units ever failed and with a redline of close to 9K

I also owned an Elise (K-series sadly) but thae Honda lump in that would have been good :)

The DC5 lasted 6 weeks before I got tired of needing to rev the knackers. Nothing like a mild throttle squeeze and go surging forward/past/through without drama/fuss/attracting attention... (OK for the youth maybe :) )

I'm back to a K series now - you really don't need 315bhp in an Elise to have fun!

I drove a DC2, wonderful noise and handling but totally agree, it would annoy after a while.

Fabia VRS mk1's are fab cars, all KW's are great.

I haven't had a chance to throw it around really, but I find it sticks the road as well as my R! I loved my R, but I don't regret gettin rid!

It's got black leather interior as well, the car has been kept in really good condition inside and out, got all receipts for servicing replacement parts ect! Has lots of history!

Will probably get it mapped next @ AMD, dark rear clusters, octavia brake upgrade! Don't want to go balls out! I think it's quite subtle, looks like it should have been manufactured like it I think!

Yup! When you drive hard it seems to go, "oh, for **** sake, here we go" then it gets to 6k rpm and goes WOOHOO GRRRRR!

For me the vrs is just more practical! I love the rev range in the CTR, just don't like the fuel usage! If I earnt more money it would be different! Would like one as a project!

Although if I won the lottery like I know I will, I would like to create a fantastically fast TD Fab Vrs!
