Advice on aircon compressor

Featured Replies

Hi

I think I need to replace my aircon compressor, and have found this: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Klimakompressor-AUDI-A3-8P1-1-6-FSI-NEU-/190672657063?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item2c64f9daa7#ht_1739wt_1163

Question is now: Do I need a new valve (the famous N280) or is it included? If the picture is correct of course. Is it the black connection in the lower right corner?

Skoda can not just provide a valve, so does anyone know where to buy a valve if needed?

Thanks

Anders

Thats the right 1 Anders , I just bought ! the same , came with the valve complete, just check theres no damage on yours as the swarf needs to be flushed and its better to replace the receiver drier as well

Great idea buying from Germany, with the strength of the Euro and all that, cheap postage too!

How does this compare with the discount Briskoda members get off Eurocarparts?

The cheapest 1 listed on ecp is wrong , I bought it and its nothing like , then had to take it to the branch to claim refund , had a pm to say it was a picking error but the branch could not find the right unit at all

Previous posts have mentioned a Spanish company for supply of the Regulator Valves. As my compressor had failed and I was passing Seville I dropped into this company and bought a Sanden replacement for my failed Zyxel. They also offered me the Regualtor Valve, and after inspecting the Zyxel once removed I should have tried that option first (no signs of any damage or debris). The company is called Eltrebo and they have a website www.eltrebo.com. The control valve is 59euros. The company is traditonally Spanish and they do not speak English. They are, however, an airconditioning goldmine and have a swift and excellent service section. If I had known this I would have had them fix my aircon whilst I waited and saved a significant amount of money. If you want to try the valve as a cheap option I suggest you pay a few extra quid to get someone who speaks Spanish to phone and make the order for you.
