Another VRS!

Featured Replies

And another introduction!

I have an Octavia VRS, 53 plate, Black with a few spots of white at the front :) about to finally undergo a new lease of life!

After calculating the costs and frustration of replacing the engine I finally decided to buy her some shiny new parts, as at 103,000 miles it's about time it had its first Cambelt and water pump change! Although...... I'm not to blame for this neglect, after a hard winter my MK2 jetta finally decided the daily drive was becoming too much (although it only had 48k on the clock) and started causing old age problems. So kindly, my parents let me borrow the VRS for the hard of the winter and never wanted it back, but, as stated its far from having a good service history so now it's time to refresh her!

I have the Complete cambelt kit, upgraded water pump, plugs, oil fuel and cabin filters, slick 50 oil flush and magnetic sump plug. Then the not so necessary service items such as induction kit, down pipe decat (although obviously I will take this off every time I go on the road ;) ) straight through centre section and lined up now for a basic remap to 218bhp or whatever it is they claim!

OH - and the Briskoda external sticker too ;) which will obviously free up another few lost ponies under the bonnet!

Is there anything else worth pulling apart and replacing while I'm under the bonnet?

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello Trampdrifting and welcome along
