Number plate LEDS?

Featured Replies

He he. Very true :-)

Just to let you guys know, those i have in mine have been in there for over a year now and are still working fine. Well worth the money :)

My VRS already had them in when I bought it an they were flickering not long after - so got another set off eBay for £3 or something similar - its now a year and counting..... I hope - usual jinx stuff this aint it? Haha!

just to confirm i have bought some of the 39mm bulbs listed on here from ebay...

they came and i fitted them today quick and easy although a little bit of a squeeze to get in the carriers are you sure that 38mm wouldnt have been better?

they work which is handy lol i shall just see for how long :) might get another set as back up

Possibly, i got those because thats what size i was told for the car, they were a bit of a squeeze to get it, but look on the bright side…there not guna come loose and lose connection :) ha

  • 1 month later...

Just bought some of these now.

Will get pictures up when i get them.

I could do to get the rest of mine LEDd. Got a cheap pair in the reg plate which I bought for the Polo over a year ago, cost £6 from GSF for the pair, still going strong with no canbus issues. Going to get the interior lights and sidelights changed too (when I can be bothered!) What's best lengths to go for for the interior light, glove box and boot light?

True. But this isn't a boy racer Corsa POS forum. ;)

I occasionally wonder :giggle:

do they need to be canbus ones?

Hi, sorry for being dull but what do u mean by canbus, haven't heard of it before :/

Canbus lights basically stop any bulb error warnings on the dash... In a nut shell

There are only some bulbs that are part of the bulb check system though.. All of the main bulbs really... Side lights, main and dipped beam, brake lights etc

Ah rite :) cheers

My LEDs aren't canbus and haven't shown any issues. Quick way to check is to pull one of your reg plate bulbs out and see if the warning comes on

This topic comes up again and again.

I fitted LED lamps in my interior lights, numberplate lights and sidelights. I have had my car for over 3 years, none have failed. In fact, I have removed them all to re use them in my next car. All but the numberplate lamps were cheap and cheerful eBay jobbies and the numberplate lamps were about 8 quid each from powerbulbs iirc. As things stand they are still in the car but will be removed also when I get the chance and swapped out for ordinary ones. Perhaps I've just been lucky with mine??? I spent a few quid recently on some canbus ones for my wifes Fiat 500 and they triggered the bulb warning immediately. Can't be @rsed to change them now as they do look better than the standard ones. It only flags up a warning once when the lights are first switched on then that goes away and the little triangle logo displays until the lights are switched off again. If they fail altogether then I'll swap them back to standard I suppose...
