Number plate LEDS?

Featured Replies

Can someone point me in the direction for some led number plate lights for a MK1 fabia 2007 reg? I cannot take the covers off tonight as I haven't got the tools and would like to order the bulbs tonight!

Cheers

i got them because i dont like the look of the normal yellowish lights, they look very blue in the picture, lot more white when seen properly, very reflective today as well because i claybared and polished, waxed etc :)

Iv got them on mine - certainly a lot more reliable than the 'old' type of festoon bulb! Piece of **** to mod too!

Got them on the Octy too they are really bright and better than the original candles :)

I've got them on my silver vrs. Gives it a clean look at night.

Just ordered myself a set... The top end BMW and Mercs have led now so can't be illegal...

Can anyone recommend some canbus led front and rear lights? Will Cree ones work?

06 vRS...

brighter lights = more easier for the popo to read you plate?

lol

I have had police cars behind me a few times before and they have never been bothered about my LED number plate lights.

They look much nicer than the standard bulbs and also provide more light on the rear of the car and make the plate easier to read.

I see a lot of cars with really rubbish number plate lights and they look rubbish and you can barely see the plate.

How long are you guys getting out of these? Last set I had in only lasted about 3 months before flickering and going out.

It can vary quite a lot. I had some in my front sidelights that only lasted a couple of months. The ones in the interior light, boot llight and number plate have been in about 10 months now.

I've had those experiances as well Phil, but you woulnt keep your Map lights on for the same length of time, nor would they be subjected to the same temps from the dipped and main beam inside the cabin of the car. Thats my theory for why they last longer.

I'd love another set, as they're so crisp and bright, but they just don't last.

you would have thought so...i dont understand why they dont encourage people to buy them..

True. But this isn't a boy racer Corsa POS forum. ;)
