New Filter and light tinting

Featured Replies

Well, I managed to pick up an ITG at the weekend, I've been after one for a while but didn't like the one they sell for the fabia, and personally this is how ITG should sell it.

The filter is off a 2.0TSI, its had a slight modification to fit it, cut 10mm off the silicon hose and added a nice 4" cols air feed, the good thing about this is it comes with a scoop to connect to the original cold air feed had to drill 2 new holes in it but it fits perfect, It also has an 80mm filter so had to use a 70mm silicon pipe under the 80 to get it to fit but looks spot on I think...

Next up was my Flyeyes tint, as many of you will know I've tinted my lights in the past some failures and some success but after seeing a thread on here decided to give the flyeyes a go and here's the results:

Then after all that i decided the DRL's would look good too:

I got a bit carried away and thought I'd treat the Cooper S

Sorry for the long post and all the pics but I hope people like today's mods!!

Any links to the tint ;)

Love the front fly tints. Do they reduce light output much (standard lights quite poor anyhow)?

Induction kit looks ace too. Only issue putting me off is the crazy acute angle the tube has to take to round the battery! Looks like it might severely restrict airflow at that point

They don't look they they stop much light but I'll check in the dark tonight.

I don't think it would restrict the flow that much it's not like the pipe diameter is being reduced.

It makes a nice contrast in white body color, but if you don't want them tinted anymore is it easy and safe to get this stuff off?

Yes the stuff just peels off when you want to remove it!

I tried the lights last night and it didn't look like it stopped any light, I've got HID's and you can't really look into the beam it's that bright and even with the flyeyes it's still the case.

Do you have any links to this stuff. Might have to do this to my car.

Even though I like the tint result the perforation pattern puts me off. :(

You only see it as a mesh close up.

What you doing with the old filter Hayden?

Tints look spot on.

I was thinking about putting on my girlfriends mini, but I've got the scoop for the front air intake and all the pipe work to fit the fabia, depends if anyone is interested in the pipe work alone or if they want the lot? PM me if ur interested

Out of curiosity, what size sheet of the stuff did you get/use ?

For the front I got 30cmx150cm and the rears 30cmx100cm but that was very close on the backs no extra over, the front had a fair bit left

Thanks bud.
