Heater Blower/rear wiper not working. Coincidence?

Featured Replies

Jumped in the car (54 plate Octavia 2.0TDi) yesterday and both the heater blower and rear wiper have stopped working (having worked normally the night before!).

No previous probs with the blower, working correctly on all speeds.

Both fuses look OK but are next to each other in the fuse box

Is this too much of a coincidence? Same relay perhaps?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to check next?

Thanks.

The obvious place to look would be the fuses, but if as you say these look OK then I'm not sure. I'd still be tempted to replace them just to be sure.

Cheap test metre on the fuses to see if voltage is present!

Sorted at last.

No power to relay due to a bad connection in the loom feeding it.

The connection has been re-made and all is well (so far!)

Thanks for the suggestions.
