Wanted, DAB radio with SD card playability .... now bought :-)

Featured Replies

I've found the PURE Sirocco-150 but that's a mini system and too big for what I want, I'm looking for something more the size of a PURE Evoke-1S or even smaller and simply want a mains powered DAB radio that has SD card playability for our kitchen, anyone know of anything?

Cheers, I already have DAB radios in the house so I know I'm okay for the signal

Found a few, might give this one a try

We've had a Pure Evoke-3 for a few years now and never had any probs with it. Sound quality is great and it has live pause and epg with record facility along with being able to play mp3's off the SD card.

It's also portable if you buy the battery pack so you can take it out with you on picnics etc.... or in the garden.

Cheers

Dave.

Probably not what you are after but in PC World yesterday I saw a little Pioneer X-HM10 which they were asking under £70 on clearance. I thought it was a very smart little system for the money. Couldn't find it on their website so no link.

Thanks Dave and greenstripe, still haven't bought so I'll take a look at those 2 suggestions :)

I bought a Roberts R but couldn't pick up XFM or Absolute, (so reboxed it and gave it to mum for Christmas), she loves it.

Odd, being only a dozen miles up the road from you, I get both of those at full signal (just checked). I'm using a Pure Sienna.

We have a mixture of DAB and FM, in the house the Roberts DAB that we have (two of them) have to be on FM to receive Radio 2 as the DAB signal is too weak.

That will need to be addressed if the Goverment want us to make the whole switch across to Digital.

It would drop in and out, more frustrating than not having it at all.

:o :o :o :o never had that problem.............or with the DAB. ;) ;)

Am sure you could be accommodated up here if you want to get full signal ;)

Just to update, I got a Roberts Gemini RD55 and it's great, a superb replacement for the Pure Chronos that I had in the kitchen.
