If you don't know what you've got at the moment, change the lot and use DOT 5.1 synthetic.

Gaz

castrol react performance dot 4.

I will drain all from all 4 calipers pipes till all come out then fill up new-fresh fluid but still can't make up my mind

I have to say when I'm on my own I like Quik driving

especially when im doing early shift 5am start when no one on the road

Do not drain the system dry!

You can get air stuck in the ABS control unit which will require VCDS to bleed it out.

That's a lot but ok

If jou drain from calipers, you need to do this in certain sequence. I've red on the myturbodiesel.com site that you start rear right , then rear left then, front right and end with rear left. Do you need to lift the car or wat is the easiest. How much time does it take?

i've never changed brake oil, car is from 2007 and has 40 000miles. 77kw TDI mostly highway and low braking

thanks

That sequence is for flushing/bleeding to make sure that the longer runs of piping are flushed and refilled with clean fluid first.

on my octy1 i used 750ml ate blue, and that was far too much. advantage of the blue is you know when its fully changed, plus its a 3 year fluid and very effective
