What size is the map sensor hole?

can now confirm pipe supplied for map sensor is 17mm.will find out tommorow if my map sensor is 17mm tho.

I changed mine for a 1.9td Fabia vrs one and I think it looked 10-12mm when I changed it. My vrs is a mk1 2005 model.

Well got most of the kit fitted, first problem,my map sensor is 12mm ,the pipe supplied is for a 17mm map sensor :-( second problem, hose supplied for going onto turbo is 50mm,outlet on turbo is only 45mm,so will need to get a hose that goes from 45mm at one end and 50mm at the other end.

Just use a 2.5mm thick O ring on the map sensor therefore giving you the extra 5mm? Or which ever size u need to make up the difference?

I think i have a 17mm map sensor in my tool box at work, will see when i go to work tomorrow,as for the pipe onto the turbo, there not expensive on ebay,51mm to 45mm reducer bout 10 quid,.

Easily sorted then! How's the fit besides the issues mentioned?

It's not too bad once i figured where all the pipes went, only other thing I had to do was cut the lip off the bottom of the crash bar so I could mount the intercooler further up and back slightly, had to trim the back of the bumper too, where the bottom vents go into, bumper was hitting on the pipework, sorted now tho,and I'm going to have to relocate the horns, pipework goes where the horns sit.

Sounds like a right hassle to get right I fitted a forge front mount to mine came with pipes new crash bar reducers and fool proof instructions everything was easy as peas. But I will admit there a bit pricey!!

It was a slight hassle, but at the money i cant complain,a third of the price of a forge kit,i have been a mechanic for 22 years so get hassle from cars day in day out,so i wasn,t put off,i knew from reading it wasn,t going to be straight forward.

Mine didn't cause me any hassle what so ever, dunno about the last owner tho lol

Sent from my Galaxy S2 not a Crapple!

Mine was complete ball ache altho coolers alot bigger and i had to cut crash bar to pieces at back to get it to fit right, but am also a mechanic so wasn't phased by work involved and wasn't in a rush to get car back on road until end,

I also had slam panel / radiator surround painted while i was doing it aswell and have to say the rad mounts are a complete pain to change altho managed to get it all back together without scratching anything

Well finally got my front mount completed, was waiting on a couple of hoses, turned up today, got them fitted tonite, gave it a good run and no hoses blew off,I must have had a boost leak with original set up,because now boost spikes to 1.5 bar and holds 1.2 bar, before it would spike to 1.2 bar and hold 1 bar,it goes for stage 2 shark performance remap on friday, getting done by there Scottish dealer brotek, have a chipped UK remap at the moment.

Dewaryboy... What other pipes and parts did you need?

I have my fmic, looking for best place for pipework? Currently running 190 on stage 1 with forge recirc and after the fmic i have ordered a decat as its only catback from previous owner. Any advice on pipework? Not too expensive tho only going stage 2 max thanks, ScallyVrsMk1
