Google Chrome on android

Featured Replies

Installed Google Chrome on my s2 and had no end of problems, from having trouble writing txt in the search box to buying a 380quid turbo accidentally while on ebay with it when it froze! Also kept on freezing numerous times! Anyone else had problems with it?

What's the best browser for android?

Dolphin is decent if not a little bloated, but definitely worth a try.

I actually get on quite well with the stock web browser.

The eBay app is fine I find on Android. Using Chrome on the Nexus 7 and I've found it fine. Even syncs with bookmarks on my PC too which is handy

i tried the Google Chrome on my HTC one X, also had nothing but problems. I have the Dolphin browser now and have no problems whatsoever.

i also use the Ebay app and find it very user friendly

I use the ebay app but when you use links it goes to the browser not the app lol

Running an early Jellybean rom and most of the browsers crash so using the stock JB one and its fairly decent. :)

Chrome on android is really quite buggy, but it's the only browser that I can use a thing called CCLDB on with any decent form of accuracy. Other browsers are a pain when using it.

I find that it can freeze without warning doing rotations or pdfs etc, it's highly annoying but most of the time it leaves the competition for dead.

I love chrome on my s2

Twitter on the other hand, prior to a hard reset used to kill battery in 2 hours

I think if you have never done any maintenance on your phone, much like your car, you have to expect problems

Opera Mini is the best lightweight browser, I use this in my Atrix G4,

Literally switched to Dolphin browser 10 minutes ago as I am sick and tired of Chrome issues on my Galaxy SII.

Will see how it goes as never really got on with stock browser or Opera (both flavours).

Wish me luck - well at least it posted this...

I never liked dolphin myself when I tried it. I couldn't see why everyone hyped about it.

Not sure what to think so far. Nice clean scrolling and no issues with text input. Finding it hard to get used to where everything is though

Used Dolphin for about a year now as I didn't like some of the quirks in the stock browser. Found it the best of the bunch on offer. Just downloaded Google Chrome and will put it through its paces. Will come back later with my opinions.

SWMBO has it on her Nexus 7. It seems to work OK, I use Dolphin on my S3 though.

I'm using chrome on my S3 and I find it fine. I've not had any problems at all

I use firefox mobile on my SII and its been fine...

must say, i just downloaded chrome on to my laptop, and first impressions are good, much faster than ie9, and has a lot of cool tools!

Using Firefox on the HTC one X. Running fine,

Love Chrome on the laptop & PC myself. That was why I hoped the Android one would work - especially with the cross platform integration...
