Can you help me with the Columbus in my 2009 Superb Elegance please, it only has the ability to accept 5 digit postcodes, I need 7 digit version. No menu in setup, don't know which version. Pulling my hair out if I had any.

You need updated firmware and possibly maps as well.

Your firmware is definitely too old then, as 7 digit postcodes came out on V7 maps.

Any ideas as to how to sort this out

Please correct me if I'm totally off with this. But were there not 2 or 3 Columbus units running at that time to accomodate the Superb and Octavia?

I believe 1 of these units does not have the ability to be updated to 7 digit but the other(s) do?

anyone able to help with this - i have the same issue.

I have just updated my maps with the latest version and have the 7 digit postcode working normally

I've a Dec 08 model, and despite running latest maps, don't believe my hardware supports a firmware upgrade to do 7 digits

How do people deal with the lack of 7 digits postcodes if all you have is postcodes? Seems a pretty poor design if it doesn't allow updates for all systems.
