de-badgeing vrs

Featured Replies

hi all ,just bought a 2011 vrs and want to de-badge it.

just wondered if anyone on here has de-badged their vrs and if they are pleased with the end result ?

Not on my vrs but taken badges off before. Use a hair drier to warm up the badges first. Be gentle.

Warm first then use dental floss or fine fishing line dehind badge. Using a slow side to side motion. Badge removed then use a good tar/grease/wax remover to get rid of the glue then polish

I boiled a kettle, poured the water over it and used a plastic card to lever them off

I used masking tape over the badge and then used a marker pen to write VW on top of the tape. That fooled em.

A good tip is that you can fit a few letters in so you could try BMW or Dacia, although Ssangyong might not fit and be visible.

Another good tip is to use a permanent marker.

An alternative involving less modification to your vehicle is to wear a disguise such as a false moustache, beard and glasses when driving.

Of course if you already have a moustache, beard and glasses these false ones may have a limited disguise value.
