Just taken the plunge and put down a deposit on 62 plate, candy white, Octavia VRS with black alcantara interior. Very excited should have it in a couple of weeks.

Any advice from forum members about best fuel and running in period?

Fuel, depends whether you're getting diesel or petrol :yes: and as for running in period, don't thrash it straight out of the box and don't let it labour apart from that pretty much drive it normally.

I think you're okay with regular unleaded (not too sure as mine's diesel)

Personally I don't use supermarket stuff.

Collected my new petrol Octy VRS Hatchback yesterday. Specced with the black alcantara interior.

Really happy so far and if anyone has doubts about the interior may I suggest you don't, whole thing feels like much more expensive car!

Incidentally got it through Murray Skoda Newton Abbot. Thoroughly impressed with their customer service, brought paperwork to my house to sign as I couldn't get to the showroom because of work etc.

Can't wait to get mine as specced the black alcantara interior as well.

Lots of people say modern cars don't need running in but I'd always take it easy for a while until everything settles down. The other side is don't be too gentle as it can lead to problems as well
