Hi I am new to your forum. Gonna post a thread in the Felicia forum. Lovely car. £550 1999 model 1.3 GLi and only 48000 on the clock. I will be 2nd owner and full MOT and service history. Was really glad till I tried to fill up and fuel cap would not open. Now none of the locks work. So really cross. Husband is sleeping in car tonight as we cannot lock it!! Not a great start to being a Skoda owner. :wall:

Hello Cherrystone and welcome along

Hope that you get the lock issue sorted

Thanks

Are all the locks seized or just the fuel cap?

My fuel cap never locked in the whole time I owned it and never had any problems.

All the locks are seized. The key won't turn in any of them. Sooo annoying. But looking at upgrading to remote locking and replacement fuel cap if necessary. Will need to upgrade the boot to central locking as well though.

But the car was a beauty on the drive. Handled nicely, smooth ride and the engine purred, even in the dreadful stop start traffic. Did a run to Chesterfield and back (in fruitless effort to collect a full lock set and key form a scrappy who eventually admitted they did not have the key once my friend turned up to collect the lock set and key!!)

Oh and the sunroof leaked at the edge. So will get some silica seal tomorrow to prevent that happening again!!

But the car is beautiful apart from these "niggles"

Unfortunately really low miles can cause as many problems as really high miles. Little bits will seize here and there so persevere
