Evening all

Featured Replies

Evening all......just registered on here after a few fun packed years of Golf Mark 3 ownership. Just sold my Mark 3 Anni and bought an 03 plate Octavia VRS for a good price really. It needed new discs and pads on front which have been done and a new drivers side mirror which is on its way. Completely standard car and I am well pleased with it and feels as comfy as a Rolls Royce after the Golf !!!!

Anyway here's a pic of it:

Hello Deano2711 and welcome along

hI & welcome

Hello Deano :hi:

Looks like getting rid of a Mk3 Anni is okay these days. Might've been another matter had it been a Mk4 :peek:

Each to their own but I really rate my missus' Mk3 for comfort. It's the intrusiveness of the 90TDI noise that's the downside.

VRS looks nice B)

The Mark 3 was not uncomfortable but no where near the Octavia ( must be getting old now). My Mark 3 had a custom made exhaust which was loud and the power was lacking for my taste even though it was the fastest 8v I had (6 in total). Slammed to the max so pretty unpractical with a young family. The Octy gives me the power I want and comfort and is ideal for the family. Only got interested in them as a Mate from the GolfGTI forum had one and it took my fancy. Not missing my Mark 3 yet but no doubt that time will come.
