hi all

i have a mk1 vrs with h and r 20mm lowering springs on it and koni sports shocks just wondered if anyone else had simular set up on 18's with pictures???????? i don't want to buy some 8x 18's with 225/40/18 tyres for it to just look a tit :(

That suspension set up will be fine with 18" wheels I had similar when i first got my car.

I've got a set of 18" Audi bbs rs 11's on my vrs fitted with 225/40r18 tyres. It's lowered about 30mm all round. Only slight rubbing on n/s/r but not o/s/r so I guessing my rear axle is off to one side and needs adjusting if that's possible. 18s are a good size to have on the octavia

ive got 215/40/18s on mine down all the way on my coilies and havent had any huge issues

I have an inch to go on mine and even when boot is fully loaded, no rub. I have 225/40/18, 8j too.

any pics on the h and r springs anyone???? as 20mm ain't a lot or even stock suspension on 18's so i can judge what arch gap will be like some nice vrs's the 19's look good but the black bbs look awesome

My brother had various octy vrs mk1s on h&r springs

And kws

He had 8x18s on all mate, et35 and 225/40/18

Never mentioned any issues bud and some were rather bouncy as just springs

I know its on coils but i had 225/30/20s on 8x20s , didnt cause any trouble and that was down, i know not much help but it shows how much space is in the Octy arches

The only ones ive ever heard have trouble on 225/40/18s have been estates
