Stick or twist?

Featured Replies

I am getting my 312mm brake upgrade at the start of next month and while I wait to get my new discs and pads I'm going to refurb the callipers. But which colour?

I don't know if I should stick green or do something different? I don't fancy red though as its done to death!!!

Any suggestions would be good... Maybe with a picture to back it up!!!

Stick with green!

Seen a few furby's on here with yellow, stand out with the black alloys.

Green tends to work but depends how bold/adventurous you want to be. Lighter colours can offset well with darker cars, such as yellow or mauve etc.

Green looks great against my black alloys, and oem colour

Does anyone know if you can get anodised wheel bolts from anywhere? Or just coloured caps?

Got some black chrome caps of the bay to match the wheels, look good

Try blue? Think blue calipers look great on black cars

if cars black needs 2b red m8.. black + red for the win l day long ;-)

Do you have a link for these or an item number. I must be typing the wrong things in!! :-(

do you just simply rub the caliper down and paint with hammerite?

In a word, yes.

I use hammerite. I have tried spray in the past but the results were not as good IMO.

Brake cleaner, sand em down, paint, lacquer.

190675628057, they where a bit too big for my spacer bolts, but fit well on the standard bolts.

Do you remove the caliper? Or do it while it's on?

Green, OEM FTW, especially black.

Only other I like is yellow on silver cars

what about white? Not seen that before.

because the white would be black within days.

I have done it both ways in the past. Easier to do it whilst fitted and you can still get a decent finish. Obviously you only do the bits that everyone can see but thats all that matters.

I had white on my Evo. Never again. Lol. WHEN clean, they look awesome but after about 2 miles you wish you hadn't done it.
