2001 vrs?

Featured Replies

I've found an Octavia VRS with 15k on the clock for a shade under 9k. Its a 2001 51 reg, and is red.

Is this about the money? Or a bit expensive? I know I could get cheaper, but I like the fact its low mileage :D

Can anyone point me in the direction of any known problems with the early vrs's?

Thanks :D

According to Parkers it sounds like a very good deal - Parkers quote is for a car with twice the mileage....

I'd say thats a good deal !

As for "early" VRS's, I assume its got a FSH from Skoda so just make sure its had the coil packs changed.

How much for the coil pack if it hasn't been changed?

Coilpacks are around the 15-20GBP mark each, you will need 4 of course if replacing them.

They dont all fail at the same time though, I have a 2001 Y reg vRS that has 47K on the clock and 1 of the coilpacks is still the original ones that caused all the problems. The other 3 however have been changed to later types.

i had mine done by skoda for gratis(2001 Y reg no warranty).then theres 12 months warranty on the new ones. i think they are on 'L' prefix ones now
