Parrot MKi9200 vs Bolero retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The ultimate goal I have is to be able to play all my music via SD / USB as opposed to the aux port and my phone which is naff.

Now I was considering putting a Bolero in but you can get the Parrot MKi9200 instead which does all that. My current Parrot 3200LS has been fine, albeit with a few compatibility issues with older Android phones but now it's ok.

So the question is do I replace the 3200 with a 9200 or the Stream with a Bolero?

Cost wise the Parrot is slightly cheaper at £150 on Amazon. Bolero's are between £150 and £200 from what I've seen.

Thanks,

Chris.

The Bolero is a nice unit and includes a 6 CD multichanger as well, if retro fitting one I'd also look at retro fitting the OEM BT kit as it works very well with the Bolero, phone control for the kit uses the Bolero touch screen.

Ultimately the Bolero is a nicer unit and obviously you benefit from an integrated solution. But obviously you'll need to pay out again for an OEM BT kit to handle the phone calls side. Upto you really, and how much you feel you need the ability to make handsfree calls.

If it was just on the music ability side though, I'd go for a Bolero everytime. Also makes a welcome update to the dash over the Stream, from a looks point of view :)

I've already got the Parrot 3200 for the Bluetooth which works ok so I'll just stick with plan A me thinks and get the Bolero. :)

Cheers guys.

Chris.
