Anyone know if Polo Tdi pd driveshaft is the same as Fabia pd's ?

ok so i'am asking this question on behalf of my mate, hes got a fabia elegance 100bhp estate and well his nsf driveshaft has went fooked, he was at the scrapy and saw a 54plate~ polo tdi pd, i know they are roughly basedarround each other but does anyone know if it'll fit ?

They will be the same m8.. both 5 speeds..

so long as its a 1.9tdi polo not a 1.4tdi polo
