Steering column

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone tell me what size the shaft is that the steering wheel attaches to please on my 88 Rapid, lm looking to replace the wheel with an after market wheel and need a boss, lve found 1 but dont know the size or how to measure it..

Also does anyone know where l can get hold of a engine hose kit every hose will need replacing along with the head gasket, leads, plugs etc etc found those bits but the hoses are proving tricky...

The hose thing - a month ago I would have said Jorily...now I would say - start looking! The good news is that a guy on the owners forum is about to open a business supplying old RWD stuff...get over there and get your order in.

Steering wheel wise - I have no idea but I do know that the only company that ever advertised a boss and wheel was Mountney in the classic 3 or 4 spoke range (look a bit 60s/70s). I'm sure other things can be made to fit but you would need to make it fit.

felicia steering wheels bolt on and golf ones but with the golf ones you will need to get the adapter off the felicia steering column

mk3 golfs fit as i got a VR6 Leather one in my felicia

Its ok lve sourced a original Mountney steering boss still in its box :) just got to rebuild the steering after the old guy stripped it trying to get the lock off :(

I was in Czech a few days ago and saw several rubber hoses. Try and find a supplier in Czech willing to send out to you?
