Wow! thanks for all the input people, definitely food for thought, were looking at possibly a team of 3 or 4, my colleague who did this in 08 spent about £700 excluding entry fee n the car. On that note the entry fee is £240 for two people then i think its an extra £50 per person after that.

The only thing I'd add is that this was back when scrap metal was dirt cheap.

People were dumping cars all over the place because you got £20 for a whole car and had to take it to the scrappers to get your £20.

Now it's around £120-£150 for a scrap car, people will come and collect them and split the money 50:50 with you.

This is very true. I just got rid of a shell which was collected from me for £130.

Favorit or felicia! Both the 1.3 or the diesel are pretty much indestructible and are within you budget.
