Mods on a mk2... Springs,RARB & air filter questions.

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Can anyone clarify whether the Jabba 23mm rear anti roll bar fits the mk2 furby?

What lowering springs do you guys recommend? I have seen some eibach's but not much else.

What performance filter do any of you use? Piper, Green, K&N etc.

I know I won't get much, if any gain from this, but at least once it's bought you don't have to keep replacing every 5k-10k miles.

This is for on a 1.6crdi Monte Carlo.

Steve :)

eibach can be bought from skoda, approved and dont affect warrenty....

H&R are another popular choice for springs, and lower further... not skoda appeoved though,,,

I think the fabia I ARB fits... but not quite sure... some people had issues with it catching...

Are the eibach's from Skoda their 'sports suspension' option? As this wasnt an option on the monte.

I want something to lower it approx 25mm.

I know the 20mm whiteline rear bar specifies mk1 or mk2 without any differences... Wondering whether it's worth taking a punt on the 23mm Jabba anyway and seeing what happens...

The eibachs aren't the sport's suspension option, they are a separate dealer fit accessory.

I have also heard that the jabba rarb doesnt fit the mk2. I would go for the whiteline one as that one will definitely work :-)

Whiteline RARB fits the vRS fine, not sure about the Monte. As far as I know the Jabba one will not fit if you have a standard exhaust as it fouls on the back box. Someone has fitted one to a Mk2 but I think they have a miltek exhaust. I believe Jabba are going to design one but as yet it is not on the market.

I believe that the Skoda supplied Eibachs are only for the vRS, but could be wrong! Eibach probably do a set for the Monte and I assume H&R and others will do similar.

I think I'll look into the H&R lowering springs , but will hold fire on the rear anti roll bar, will wait and see what Jabba knock up!!

Still wondering what performance filter you guys are using? I certainly know my way round a 20v engine & Octavia, but still learning about the 1.6crdi and Fabia!!!!

Thanks for all the comments so far folks!!

Steve :)

Itg all the way when it comes to filters.

I have the Jabbasport arb on mine but it will only fit with an aftermarket backbox on the Vrs so you would need to check first as they charge a restocking fee if you try to return it.

Depending if your worried about warranty I'd get the h&r springs
