Bluetooth activation

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have a 2010 Octy Elegance and I don't have bluetooth - however in the Bolero Set Up section under Media there is an option to Activate Bluetooth Audio with a ticky box. Ticking the box does nothing so I am assuming a lot more is needed to get bluetooth working.

Is that right or am I missing the opportunity to easily get bluetooth working?

Thanks

Keith

Yes you need a lot more. If you had the bluetooth module installed and coded then ticking that option would allow you stream music from your compatible bluetooth device.

Yep you need the bluetooth module.

PM Eddie-NL and he might be able to sell you somthing like this: http://www.briskoda....-bluetooth-kit/

You still need to fit it and more than likely code it (but i'm sure ive heard of someone fitting it and it worked without coding). To code it you need to use a dealer or someone with VCDS.

Can't see it working without coding to be honest, as the CAN gateway needs to know that the telephone module is there.

Having that selected already when the module isn't there could well lead to battery drain and other issues, as the gateway is expecting to communicate with a module that isn't there.

That's probably a bit too much info at this stage to be honest :D
