With people getting re-maps and significantly increasing torque figures, can this have an adverse affect on CV Boots i.e split/tear Outer CV Boots?

No. The boots don't take any strain; they're to stop water (etc) getting into the moving parts.

Then I find this amazing... That some appear torn???

I can appreciate tempreture changes and weathering.. But surely they're built to counter that.

Anyway, thanks for your take on it.

They get damaged by road objects beng thrown up from the wheels, etc. As said, more power doesn't rip gaitors/boots.

Also they split when the rubber deteriorates + perishes after so many years.. again not effected by torque
