No, I think it's VW. On the SEAT ones, I'm 99% sure the menu screen is also red. VW interiors are traditionally red and blue, the blue screen on that would match the blue dial illumination and the red buttons would match the red controls. It's a LHD model, but the first pic I could find to illustrate my point:

My other one is 100% a vw one. The code for it is vw, it has vw sat nav writen across the top where my other one says skoda.

Also the picture with it switching on showing the green Background and skoda logo spinning around... As the other one has a vw logo beside a picture on the earth with lines going across it showing destination lines. Sounds confusing...

Do these units play mp3s on a cd?

No, they don't play anything except the Nav disc, you need a cd changer. Couldnt say if that plays mp3 discs

The nav head unit was originally an £1800 option, plus £200 for the changer which had to be ordered separately. Often got forgotten, made me chuckle when customers asked how they listened to CDs. Whoops.

I assume that the VW and Skoda unit are the same software wise, just the physical branding differs, so the process to adjust should be the same.

Let me know if it actually works, currently on the look out for an MFD1 for my Furb.

Tried that and it still didnt fix my problem, i think i just need a plug & play wiring loom.

Saying that, the sat nav was clearly set up for a superb rather than a fabia.
