New front speakers - the connections!?

Recommended Posts

Hey fowks, front left speaker was blown, so got new speakers - fli iv. I have no idea how to change the connection from the old speaker the new ones. There are two clicks in the old, and one 1+ and 1- on the new.

How to go about with 4 cables into this (2 cables for each connection) to alter into the new - and it to work!!

Any help or points be greatly received.

Cheers cheers

I cut off the connectors about an inch down, so there would be enough to re attach later if refiting . Then paired the wires together ( can't remember colours now) and fitted to New speaker, job done. Oh forgot to say, check depth of new speakers as I had to make a spacer out of mdf around the speaker so tge back would clear the inner skin.

Cheers dood - not looked at the drivers, but passengers is red/brown on each connector. Do i cut there, add brown to brown and red to red, then use them for the single + and -?

Cheers

Fli F16's, deeper so had to ram them in, but pretty good. Much better at louder, and doesnt distort with bass. Couldve got better but still pretty pleased with them

Maybe best and easier to go with the models with shallow depth (56mm or so).
