Have had the fabia vrs for a little while now and was poking about earlier and came accross this switch and button

Does anybody have any ideas?

Can this question be addressed on the sign up page basically making new users tick to confirm they understand how to read and owners manual and a sub note telling them about the on/off lever? lol.

Perhaps the time has come for admin to contemplate a "L" badge for new posters. Bloke has only got 10 posts to his name, yet some are laying into him as if he's a major poster . Many a time the search function only returns what it's asked for. Admittedly the user manual does mention this switch in the "storage2 compartment-not glove box, or could he be asking about the drinks holder on the dash ? How many of those willing to steam right in are prepared to ask for info to do jobs.Info commonly available in Haynes ( which they don't have/didn't buy), yet are only too happy to accept the info with no comments from those who took the time/effort to buy same . Bit of give and take perhaps ?

Any chance of a photo. Assuming the cubby is the one under the light switch area, yes, the slidey thing with "ON" on the end turns cooling on (if the AC button's also depressed) but there's no red button.

I'd guess that someone's fitted something to the car and that included fitting a red button in there as a secret switch. But I don't really have a clue what it does...

I thought maybe it had something to do with the air horn before it was wired into the normal horn?
