Driver and Passenger Seats failing

Featured Replies

Dear all,

Without too much murth or laughter, my partner's seat has gone saggy. He's slight, and the car is a 1999 facelifted Felicia. It feels like the stuffing has either gone hard or something has broken in the base of the seat. There is a metal bar at the base of the seat...and he's sitting on it! The car has done 90k miles.

Current solution is a cushion, but this is got good in the long-run (maybe an MOT failure). Assume that I have to take seat off rails to fix, but didn't know how to proceed from there....seat rebuild?? Partner says that the base stuffing has gone 'hard', not collapsed.

Anybody with this experience and suggestions please?

Thanks

Max

P.S. cheap bucket seat replacement suggestions not entertained :wonder:

I off-loaded a pair of black ones last year for a tenner on eBay. (Was a tenner more than I paid for them too! ;) )

Bill2, we must pass each other from time to time too. Am just up the road from you.

i will keep a look out for you along the lower rainham road.
