Need help finding PD130 injectors

Featured Replies

My wants. :D Not sure where to go to source these parts on the second hand market? I know a Fabia in Southern France with them in. ;)

But I just want to get my hands on some big injectors a.s.a.p.

Thanks.

You'll need the turbo too.

Try some salvage yards. Their must be plenty golf PD130 out there.

What you upto Jason?

What you upto Jason?

;) - Just wanted a little more power. Turbo is being looked into as well. :) I'm thinking of re-arranging my finances a little to throw some money into the engine on my car.

Any ideas on salvage yards? Its just the vRS is such a rare write-off I think the injectors from them willl be hard to find :( Will other PD130 injectors from Audi's etc fit too? I'm worried about the universal use of injectors across the VAG range (i.e same part number used for furby vRS as L&K 130 / A4 pd130?)

I think the idea is to essentially make a vRS.

Only faster and lighter.

Only faster and lighter.

Yeah, sort of - but not that much lighter with bigger turbo. I think if I went the whole hog and put a vRS engine/box in it would make it the same weight? I was thinking of doing that, but I figured if the 1.9 TDI block is eseentially the same there's no reason my pd100 "block" can't take double the BHP it was designed to?

All this means necessary spending in other areas too, like clutch & 312mm brakes. :( :thumbdwn:

So at what power do Pd100 injectors max out. Just out of interest.

Not enough :D

Get rid of all that music making stuff in the boot - That'll be slowing you up J. :D

Surely it would be cheaper and quicker to buy a Fabia vrs :D

John - 150bhp as a general guide, although that limit is pushed higher and higher as Jabba et.al get better with their remaps - I did have 154 at one point, but not now.

The music is staying although I am 2 amps lighter at the moment. :) Buying a Fabia vRS has been quite tempting, but I simply would be paying a lot more insurance to mod a Fabia vRS to the same extent. Also I can't afford the initial layout on the purchase price of one, 2nd hand or new. :( And, as I have no desire to sell my current one ever, why not make it exactly how I'd like it to be? ;)

Jason,

As others have said there will be plenty of second hand pd130 injectors around and would assume they are the same between the various PD130 VAG cars.

Another option may be kermatdi.com (US company) who can supply uprated pd100 injectors on an exchange basis, although dont know how these compare to pd 130 injectors.

I seem to remember reading that the PD130 block is reinforced in some way over the PD100 and alos that the PD150 block is reinforced over the 130.

I reckon that you might find the 5 speed box isnt up to the job, but with an uprated clutch you might get away with it.

Reading a recent mag about a polo tdi cup/race car. They swapped the PD130 to a PD150. Tuned it to 200bhp then then swapped the 6 speed box to a 5 speed as the box box is lighter. So the 5 speed box must be up to the task.

It might be up for the task of a few hundred miles of racing , but what about long term life?

Or it's cheaper to replace every couple of races ;)

Chris

And I doubt it was a standard box anyhow.

Well - I have a spare complete PD100 engine and box at my disposal anyway. ;)

Would just need to unbolt / rebolt the turbo, and swap injectors over to the new block, should that go bad. ;)

Hi,

The pd130 injectors will not fit beacuse the holes are too small.

I am looking at getting a larger garrett/ kk turbo - perhaps we could have a chat.

I have found a larger turbo for around

Jabba advised the transmission is good for 300-320 lb/ft

My advice Jason is steer clear of the vRS engine if you want to keep your coilovers on. Otherwise the sump will be draggin on the ground

Can anyone do me a quick favour, please?

Nip out to their Fabia vRS and read off the part number on one of them? I don't know how easy this would be. If anyone can access the part number easily, can you enlighten me, please?

I thought the holes supporting the injectors were smaller in pd100 engine.

I was incorrect. The holes that spray the fuel in are smaller in pd100 engine.

Understand?

I think I have confused myself!

Cheers

John
