Mobile Phone Cradle? Brodit alts?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have a Samsung galaxy nexus, with rubber bump case, and I am looking for a secure trim car cradle. I do not want to mount it on the windscreen.

Brodit looks good, but they don't do one for my phone & rubber case - just the bare phone, and I would rather not have the hassle of removing the case each and every time. At almost £40-£50 its an expensive option as well!

Can anyone recommend any Brodit rivals?

Cheers guys :)

I have a Spiderpodium, which is great for my SIII with a flip over cover.

Get the Brodit dash mount of your choice, the Brodit Herbert Richter adapter and the Herbert Richter universal holder.

Slightly convoluted but pretty much the only way that I've found of having a decent quality adjustable mount.

Edit: depending on how wide the Nexus is you might need the large holder: http://www.flagshipfones.co.uk/herbert-richter-large-universal-gripper-1-25310.html

I went down the Herbert universal route. My mount goes under the top vent too so that saves marking the car. It also holds my tomtom which is good :)

Another shout for Brodit + Universal cradle here. Got mine from dashmount I think.

Holds my S3,with or without case. And the wife's HTC. And my iPhone 5 when it gets here.... When you think about it, a universal cradle is by far the best solution.

Zeffania, do you have the same combination of Herbert Richter holders on a Brodit mount, is that a different clip around the air vent?

Herbert richter 4 claw mechanism that I can inter change. Just trying to find the clip now, been a while since I bought it

Found something similar here but its not the same as mine

If anyone does want a Brodit mount for a Mk2 Octavia I have one going in the 'For Sale' section.

It's the one that keeps the phone (or other item) low down on the passenger side near the air con controls.
