Hi everyone, so lve cracked on with my Rapid had a real good look round and she is solid however l believe the bonnet is beyond repair as is the windscreen and the grille is defunct so if anyone has any of these at a good price then ld be very interested and greatfull

On a slightly different note, lve noticed that the clutch pedal wont press at all its solid, the car has been stood for several years. Someone said it could just be the hinge at the top that might be seized.???

More likely to be the master cylinder under the bonnet seized. Depending how long you want to wait for a bonnet I have someone who is able to make fibreglass bonnets and has a mould for them. In fact he has already made me one but it is only a prototype and in the meantime I have been bogged down with blowing up my new iron 8 port race engine......which has set me back a month or 2 and cost a fortune!

Whats wrong with the grille? I think I have a spare one. Were you after a spot lamp grille or a normal slatted grille?

The grille is broken around the headlights, not after a spot light version theres one on ebay £20 prefer the look if the original just found a later 1 brand new so might get that cheers though..

Sorry to hear about your engine issues hawkeracing, whats the best route, is it a new Master cylinder or is it repairable.??

There is a bonnet on ebay its an 82 model estelle would that fit my 88 rapid??

All bonnets are interchangeable so it will be fine. You would need to actually check about the clutch, I can't really diagnose problems over the net!!! Seals will be available, but if not then someone will have one....as I have said before - this isnt the forum to find spares or contacts really....
