swapping paddle 3 spoke wheel and heated screen

Featured Replies

hello all,is it possible to swap the 3 spoke paddle wheel, heated screen and jets, off my 140cr elg est dsg to a 2.0tsi elg est??cheers paul.

I'm sure it would be possible - but i think the question would be is it financially viable?

When i ordered mind, i think the jets were £40 at point of order, think the screen was £300 or so - I'm sure it would cost more than that to have two windscreens remove, refitted, re-wired, and re-coded into the car...

Ahh Ok - Got to remember, there's the chance of breaking the screen when removed... or breaking both screens...

I was quoted £100 I think per screen removal, same for refit. The wheel is easier to remove but I have no idea about coding or the control panel with the heated screen button on it.

The 3 spoke wheel is a straight swap, only coding required is for the flappy paddles (on an Elegance)

The heated screen would not be financially viable since it is bonded in, you would also need to swap the climatronic unit as well (where the switch is located) not to mention the wiring looms.
