Flash car cleaner....I have tried it...once

Featured Replies

Yep I have tried it and it is going back......

it's not too bad to use except for having to wave a large spray head thing on the end off a hosepipe around and the shampoo cleans off the dirt grease etc.......the Autodry works up to a point but it does stll leave a few watermarks on the paintwork.....all that I could live with....BUT

it has taken the Ombrello windscreen treatment straight off in ONE go ....now if it does that to the Ombrello what is it doing the wax and polish that is protecting the paintwork......I am not going to use it again and am going for the money back offer.

so there you are a definate :thumbdwn: for flash car cleaner

I must admit that would be my worry, anything that makes the dirt just run off must be pretty harsh.

My parents use it and seem to like it.

Would agree , there are some questions here . Have used it a few times now and the finish is not as previous . Although it does dry off better than just ordinary water , it appears to show more left marks on the pait and this could be as you say taking the wax off , had not thiught of that one . Will be going back as well .

I thought they were pretty good

i tend to wash it with a nomal bucket and decent soap and just use it to dry the car off if im not polishing it

i park it in the shade though aswell that seems to help

We live in a hard water area & the best tip is to wash your car in the rain, sounds silly but rain water is cleaner than anything we can get out of the tap, just leave it in the rain to rinse off.

As for not taking the wax off you need to find detergent free shampoo, sounds odd but it is available.

Unless you live within 100 miles of Chernobyl

Your rain obviously is a lot cleaner than mine, as there appears to be a lot of muck left on the cars after it rained last night...
