Rain water

Featured Replies

Have searched for similar problems with rain leaking into car, could someone please help with this one.

Our 1995 Favorite ships rain water in while it is standing on the drive. It does the usual trick os soaking the sound deadening material behind the dashboard and literally flows down the plastic cable cover (passengers) side in front of the door.

My theory is that it comes in through a small jagged hole just to the outside of the nearside bonnet hinge, I blocked it with tape waited for a storm (hose pipe didnt work) and nothing came in. Question is, is this little hole about , 6 cm square ther for a reason? It allows water into the wing but looks too gash to be a proper drain although there is one each side.

Water can still drain through the wing to the ground via the curved wing adjacent to the hinge.

Thanks for looking.

Hi

Dont know if you got this problem sorthed.

But it usually is the windscreen bottom corners that require resealing.

If you get auto windscreen they usually know what to do.

The early Felicia had same problem.

Check for any missing or loose groments , also check any cables; accel etc are pushed home properly where they pass thru the bulkhead. Has anyone bodged a radio aerial cable thru maybe?
