Oil

Featured Replies

Hi guys will mobil 1 5w30 super 3000 be ok to use in my 1.9 tdi vrs

This has been discussed to death on here, please see:

The basic gist is you have to use oil which meets VW 505 01 spec, and if it doesn't say that on the bottle you shouldn't use it in your Fabia vRS. 505 01 oil is especially formulated for PD engines and the exceptionally high pressure within the unit injectors, other oils may cause the injectors to wear prematurely as the oils breakdown or fail to perform in this environment.

If you're just doing a top up then you don't need to be as strict, but for an oil change, it should be 505 01.

This appears to be your oil:

which makes a great primary source of information ;)

Checking the specs, it states 505 01.

Has to be 505 01, 505 00 will not cut it. I think 507 is okay iirc, as it's a superior spec, it's all discussed in the threads I linked you to.
