I am trying to fit these wonderful gems into my fabia.

Tried to remove the knobs this evening. Try as I might, I find it impossible to pull the knobs off. Didnt want to inflict more damage to the knobs, does anybody know is there something I should do? Any guidance appreciated

Remove the trim, first take off the two pieces to the side of the aircon controls first -pull gently from the bottom edge then you can take off the middle piece with the controls on

Does it matter which position the controls are pointing?

From memory I don't think so. However I would set them all to 12 o clock or a position that is easy to remember for refitting. I remember it being a bit fiddly to get off and back on again. The main thing is to take your time and don't force anything. There's a lot of brittle looking plastic in there.

Just pulling is enough, I tried on my Roomster
