I've now received and fitted them, have to say I full on love the subtle little change they've made.

Really happy with the overall look of them, and there is no question of if they are bright enough compared to standards.

The light output is clearly equal to, if not slightly brighter than the originals.

It's took me longer to type all this up on my phone than it did to fit them lol

Look well

Excellent before and after shots :-)

Cheers mate, best I could do with my phone.

You did well if you managed to get out both headlamps - replace the bulbs and then get them back in faster than a forum post.

Last time I had to replace a side light the headlamp was a git to get out and more of a git to get back in!

Dunno why mate, can get the headlights out in less than 20 seconds.

I did also change my LED sidelights while I had them out, just cos they'd been in for about 9 month.

The after effect would been much better if you hadn't got the row of orange houses reflected in the light

Looks fantastic :hi:

Top result - I had every confidence they'd do the job :D

I thought that when I posted the pics, doh!

Here's one without the houses :-)

Cheers mate, I've had the silver tech ones in other cars but fancied a change this time.

Had never even heard about these til earlier this week, but I do like the effect they give.

It's something a bit different :-)

That looks a whole lot better :)

Look much better, but at £8 a single bulb from Halfords, i'd only be doing this if one actually blew! Can't spend £32 on something that ain't bust. :/

I have the exact same lights. Got pulled by police for thinking I'd installed police flashers!

What did they say like mate when you explained what they were?

Cos they are supposed to be legal

Had these fitted for a couple of years now, love them, particularly the subtle blue tint when off!

Not a lot they can say except "my apologies, sir, so sorry to have wasted your time"

As if :giggle:

They actually pulled me for thinking I'd stolen the car - I was 21 at the time.

Whilst parked behind me one officer asked if they were blue flashing lights and I explained they were simply new bulbs which gave off a slight tint. No probs and I was on my way.

Anyone know where you can get the non-blue, silver ones cheaply and a decent make? Seen them cheap on ebay but would like them to actually last.

You can buy silver tech (silver) bulbs from halfords and most local motor factors

I have a set of the silver ones in my Octavia, have had them a couple of year and used in 3 different cars, still going strong!

That's what I said in post 13. :wall::giggle:
