Octavia Air Con

Hi all ,

My Octy elegance 06 plate 1.9 D has problems with the air con. Been reading about a/c probs on the forums. Mine has never beeen really cold.

On my one the fans do not run with or without a/c on.

The Condenser in front of the radiator stays cold.

Doing the climatic diagnose thing (econ + Demist button) shows 19.4 and 00. I take it that means the compressor in not running but looking when engine running the comp. pulley is turning also the centre nut.

It may be an electrical fault somewhere, is this feasible?

It was low on gas , topped it up but it seems there is a slight leak after a week or so the pressure dropped to about a quarter.

any ideas would be appreciated

just found that the plug on the top n/side of the condenser is leaking slightly , that explains the small leak I had but it doesn't make the a/c work yet

I also ran the engine at idle for 3/4 quaters of an hour but the fans still dont come on.
