Dual Zone Climatronic Not Cooling Car

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I've got an Octavia MkII 2.0TFSI (vRS). The aircon no longer works.

I've set to low (or LO) and just standard warmish air comes out.

The compressor is spinning away fine and when revved up matches the speed of the centre bolt. No strange noises. There seems to be enough gas in the unit also.

I used this forum to find out how to check the fault codes of the Climatronic (If you want to know. Hold down the ECON button and the Recirculate button). I got 513 525 and 333 on the left hand side display. And on the right I get 04.h and 09.h. My issues comes now. Does anybody know what these mean? I can find MkI fault codes but not MkII fault codes. Any links or advice would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note. I am going to get the AC re-gassed and checked next month (I'm around 130 miles away from the nearest aircon specialist) It's been a year since my last top up.

Many thanks

Marc

your code 333 09h means low refrigerant or high pressure switch not working, I get the 333 09h code as my refrigerant is low but dont know the other ones try

http://wiki.ross-tec...index.php/00819 or something like this address.Seemingly it is either in hex or dec and when worked out it means 00819
