Injector Swap 90-110 Great Mod

Featured Replies

Well my crush washers arrived today, so i got about changing my injectors, i bought 110 bhp ones from an AFN Passat.

All went basically to plan. Had one mishap though, whilst cleaning the seats for the seals i dropped a cotton but down into the cylinder, after an hour trying to remove it, i decided combustion was the best solution.

Once i bled the injectors and carefully torqued the injector clamps she fired into life on 3 cylinders whilst the cotton bud got chewed up and spat out. Runs like a dream now, and considerably more oomph, almost like a soft map.

Hooked up vag-com and took her for a run, was actually able to jack the fuel up alot and still only minor smoke. Very very good mod, and i would recommend it to anyone wanting a bit more from theyre 90bhp's

Low end torque greatly improved, higher end power moderately improved, overall fantastic and great value for money, as still can sell my old injectors

might have to think about that for mine... if only someone nearby had vag-com. i am guessing the free version and unregistered is no good for this?

no its not, it needs to be fully registered im afraid.

Can you up the fueling on standard injectors then ? I'm not going to do it but just curious...

Yes I did it out of curiosity, made a marginal difference, but not enough to make it worth plugging the laptop in
