JOM coilover and whiteline RARB

Featured Replies

is this a good combo?

I took the car to Alstom/hartside today (excellent windy road) and gave it a good hammering, it was surpringly good at handling but wondering if the above will improve it even more and worth the cost?

Good brake fade though :D

If it was me i would do it. I love my Jom kit, I've worked it hard and it hasn't failed me yet. Arb would be my next step. Not talking mega bucks here either

Thanks, was surprised with standard handling.

Well the Jom is a stiffer setup so has less roll. and if its lower obviously your centre of gravity will be less of anissue.. there will be many folk saying oh weitec and kw are better, which they are, but for the money you can't go wrong with the joms. You will need 2004 mondeo diesel drop links too.

Even if i drop it say only 40mm?

Yes, 40mm is still quite a drop. The joms are a harder ride even at highest setting, so handling will improve. It'll be firm but any kit will give you a harder ride. Less suspension travel means less roll.

Just realised what you were asking, I would still get the drop links at 10 quid a pair as if you do foul the drive shafts its annoying waiting for some links

Thanks mate appreciate it.

SO the drop links are only £10 each and i need two? - it that all i need? do you have an ebay link?

thanks

On my phone so can't link. But search on here and youll find one. You need 2 and also it would be responsible for me to say strut top mounts and bearings also. I used existing but while they are out..............

Hope that helps

for the sake of a tenner do the top mounts for sure. Whiteline ARB is next on my list.

i had a JOM kit on my old astra coupe. i found them to be really good and a few friends had JOM on their cars too and were equally as impressed. they were quite stiff but thats what i wanted. i know it's not a skoda but hopefully this helps.

I've got both and i'm happy with it :) Went on the ring recently and handled great, just showed up the standard brakes :(

yea i have them and its the Bo**ox!!! :D

Thanks, what settings to folk recommend for good handling on the road but not too harsh i can do stiff but want to retain my teeth :D

mine were nearly the whole way down and it was still bearable. i'd say get it to a height your happy with and then see how you get on. then it's just a case of trial and error
