Going to be putting my VRS up for sale..........

Featured Replies

Ok, so after much thinking about this the VRS has to go! I'm just going to have 1 car from now on. and unfortunately the Fabia didnt meet all our needs as a family.

The problem I have is what are they worth?

It's got all the right bits on it already:-

Will have newly refurbed std wheels in silver with new tyres

New 12 month mot & 6 months tax.

Almost full history with loads of receipts to prove work done.

Mods - 312mm brakes, brand new AP coilovers, front upper & rear upper strut braces, rear arb, brand new stainless exhaust from stainless creations in Falkirk. Performance air filter, turbo just been cleaned (vnt sorted - more boost), jabbasport 6.8kg smf & sachs sports clutch (£1100) head unit is a doubled in pioneer with iPod connection in the glove box & a 12" sub in the boot. It's been mapped by angel tuning with tested 186bhp & 333lb/ft torque (std clutch can only handle 300!) I've also replaced the Vrs interior with a newer one with the 3rd rear 3 point seat belt.

Now it's on 105k, the body work has quite a few stone chips and scratches (they have been on the wing tops and a pillar since before I bought it), there is a small nick in the drivers seat it's in a weird place, but it was on the seats I bought unfortunately. Only thing that has been wrong with it recently is the heater flap fan stuck on full hot, so it was replaced with a new one, then they codes read and cleared. That didn't fix it so I replaced the whole control panel turns out it was the temp sensor in the panel - so now fixed (fingers crossed) also the a/c doesn't blow cold - its needing regassed, but I think there maybe a leak somewhere.

The car had a small coming together years back with dear, just panels, only the front panel that holds the radiator was replaced and a pair of depo headlights. Everything else was fine to be repaired.

Hope that helps. It's a high spec car, and it goes like its on rails. The turbo is the good garrett one not a kkk. And it's the ASZ engine code with the long gearbox on it - it's one of the first ones in August 2003 - it was a launch car for skoda at some dealership in Edinburgh.

I'd be after good money for it - but it's currently sorn as I didn't want to re tax it until I get rid of the Touran. (mot is up on the 27th of September - but it will be mot'd before sale.

The fog lights are a home made set of DRL's. I removed the fog light reflector and fitted the edge of it with 2 white LEDs and 2 orange LEDs. The white ones come on with the sidelights & the orange ones flash with the indicators. Or that was the plan. The orange LEDs didn't like to flash with the relay they just sort of flickered. So there are just the white LEDs in there now. Fog light bulb still works as normal too
