EGR delete for 1.4 16v

Featured Replies

Hi all

is there an EGR delete kit for the 1.4 16v furby

I know a friend of mine did an EGR delete on his 1.4 16V Polo, so i presume there is a kit out there somewhere!

My thoughts would be to the EGR pipe that goes under the throttle body, surely it would be better for airflow to have that removed? just guessing tho

Why delete the EGR function on a petrol engine - its there for good reason and its said that as well as reducing nasty exhaust output, it can help reduce combustion temperatures - and that will reduce pinking and maybe save head damage.

TDI engines seem to get away with and maybe benefit from EGR function deletion - but your engine is not a TDI is it?

Maybe just keep the throttle body end of that pipe port clear of gunge by cleaning every two years.
