Featured Replies

Just bought some coil overs can anyone tell me what drop links to get and top mounts?

Do I need 4 drop links and 4 top mounts - I take front and rear do I need bearings our do the top mounts come with them?

Links our part number please.

Alright mate,

This is a list I partly used.... (Courtesy of wilsy7)

2x Front top mounts: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1452

2x Front mount bearings: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2588

2x Rear top mounts: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2524

2x Meyle HD OEM Drop links: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=178

1x PFF85-201 - Powerflex Front wishbone front bush

Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar Mount Bushes 19mm - PFF85-201 (pair)

Ibiza FR rear Bump Stops (TPS): 6Q0 512 131D

However, I left the rear top mounts and bump stops alone. Also, when I went back to my mates garage during fitting, he pointed out that it would have been worth replacing the (front) rear wishbone bush at the same time. (I've not had the time to look for the actual part number... I used DPM for the bushes) so I will be doing this at some point before Xmas when it's serviced and mot'd.

AJS, give me a shout if you like and I will be able to sort you the mounts, drop links and bushes as needed :)

Awesome Mike

Thanks mate, are those drop links okay for when lowering the car - i want to go low but not 'too' low

Any one else?

Thanks

the drops links mentioned there are slightly thicker but are the same length so maybe not the greatest for a low car.

There's about a 10mm gap between my arch and tyre and I have no issues with those drop links
