Hi All

I have a friend who has a Mk1 Fabia with a knackered gearbox. We are having problems finding the exact same gearbox second hand and are wondering if any other boxes fit?

Its a Y reg 1.4 16v fabia engine code AUB and gearbox code FDL

what other gearbox codes will fit and what are the differences (gear ratios etc)

Or if any one knows of a good FDL gearbox going fairly cheap?

Depending on what you can afford might be worth a recon?.
