Looking at ordering my winter wheel / tyre combo from MyTyres and they only list the pre-fl TFSi vRS, I take it that the wheel / tyre fitment is identical between the pre-fl and fl vRS ?

Yes it is, the only difference is pre FL better( more clearance ) for uprated brake calipers

Interesting - so does the pre FL have a different hub / brakes setup ?

The zenith have more spokes which are thinner and more concave than the Neptunes, brakes and hubs identical

What tyres are you thinking to go with the steels from there? I was drawn to the nankangs sv2. Price and wife has a set on her winter wheels.

Unlike Neptunes, which (without modification to the caliper) will not clear an S3/R32 front set up with new pads!!

I just changed to my winter setup today running 245s on 18" Zeniths (never mind the width - just feel the tread), and will be using the 17" Proteus on a TT with all-season 225/50 Maxxis MAZ4S.
