New vrs owner checking in!

Hi all!

I'm Scott, and after just popping my Skoda cherry and buying an 08 Octavia VRS tfsi, I thought it was about time to join this rather tidy forum!

After having years of bad luck with my Signum cdti150, I'm hoping that the Skoda will restore my faith in the secondhand car market, but if not, I'm sure this is the right place to be :)

Cheers,

S.

Just the same as me, after years of bad luck with a Astra CDTi 150 I have converted to the petrol turbo power.

Hopefully the Octavia TFSi will restore both our faiths!

Let me guess? Swirl flaps, EGR, dpf, dmf.......etc? Lol

Mines been running around with the swirl flap bar sat on my workbench for the last 5 months. I refuse to be robbed of £1200 just to replace it when Vauxhall admit its a major problem with that engine. Don't notice the difference to be fair :)

Thanks for the welcomes!

Replaced the swirl flap manifold and actuator - £800. Replaced the Gearbox and DMF - £2000... That was enough for me and I am out!
